Original painting by Burton Gray
Inspired by Frank Kelly Freas' cover illustration for "Astounding Science Fiction" (1953) that also inspired Queens News of The World cover(also done by Freas).
MEDIUM RECOMMENDATIONS BY THE ARTIST
Stretched canvas is perfect pick. Frame is unnecessary but a nice touch. I like it with pink sides(ties into theme). Canvas will look great in pretty much any situation.
Acrylic: Looks cool (pinks and yellows POP) and reflections can be poetic (for people who see themselves in the eyes of the little girl robot) but I find reflections a bit distracting.
Framed Fine Art Prints: I prefer canvas for this one, but framed prints, with or without mat, look just as good.
White Metal is a fun option but doesn't enhance image qualities enough, in my mind, to rationalize the added expense.
