Original painting by Burton Gray
Thought I'd breath new life into a classic composition. Rather than depicting a poor young girl struggling to hold onto her lively hood (flowers she hopes to sell); I depict a woman struggling to hold onto her youth, and her beauty. A bit more metaphorical but structurally our two pieces are the same composition; but by modifying proportions and changing a few tiny details image becomes a familiar yet still very unique visual experience. It is my Mother's favorite painting of mine and one of my favorite pieces to hang in my own space. I look at image as a reminder to embrace the good times in life because it's all held together precariously by perception, time, and chance.
MEDIUM RECOMMENDATIONS BY THE ARTIST
Stretched canvas is perfect pick. Frame is unnecessary but a nice touch (black or natural wood frame works best). Will look great in pretty much any situation.
Acrylic: Adds a touch of Class, but not necessary
Framed Fine Art Prints: I prefer canvas for this one, but framed prints, with or without mat, look just as good.
I don't like metal prints for this one so I didn't list as an option. If you really want it on metal email me and I will make available for a limited time.
